Interestingly, there is a negative correlation with neuroticism and a positive correlation between consciousness with the state of flow. Remarkably, another study suggests that writing can heal physical wounds faster. In 2013, New Zealand researchers monitored the recovery of wounds from medically necessary biopsies on 49 healthy adults. For 3 days the participants wrote about their thoughts and feelings for 20 minutes a couple weeks before the procedure. 11 days after the procedure, 76% of the group that chose to write were healed

"Appreciation inquiry indirectly collaborates with positive psychology with its strengths-based approach." Instead of focusing on concrete ideas, it focuses on what individuals, communities, or organizations can do in order to build towards a preferred future. By approaching a situation with new perspectives considering all possibilities, it generates creative outcomes. The four stages (Discovery, Dream, Design, and Destiny/Delivery) enables the individual or group to find what is most effective

A significant amount of research in health has been dedicated to understand the causes of stress, depression, and other negative health effects. Illuminating the causes of positive health helps encourage individuals to improve their quality of life through natural and personalized methods rather than depending on manufactured medication or other methods that may not work the same for every individual. While stress has negative and destructive effects in biology, happiness has positive and reward

Another example is how exercise is good for your brain just as well as it is for your body. "There’s a link between exercise and mental alertness, in a similar way that happiness and exercise are related. A lifetime of exercise can result in a sometimes astonishing elevation in cognitive performance, compared with those who are sedentary. Exercisers outperform couch potatoes in tests that measur
