“I cannot be part of a world where men dress their wives as prostitutes by showing everything that should be cherished. Where there is no concept of honor and dignity, and one can only rely on those when they say “I promise" . Where women do not want children, and men don't want a family. Where the suckers believe themselves to be successful behind the wheel of their fathers` cars, and a father who has a little bit of power is trying to prove to you that you're a nobody. Where people false

Keanu is a seriously charitable guy. He's known in Hollywood for giving far more than was asked of him to the people who helped make his career possible. While most actors will give some token of appreciation to the crew when filming wraps, after the success of The Matrix and its sequels, Reeves gave an estimated $80 million of his $114 million earnings to the special effects and makeup staff. "When children are seen by their parents as being more special and more entitled than other children, they may internalize the view that they are superior individuals, a view that is at the core of narcissism," the researchers wrote in a study released online Monday in the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences. "But when children are treated by their parents with affection and appreciation, they may internalize the view that they are valuable individuals, a view that is at the core of

On the contrary, parents who show their kids warmth and appreciation without promoting the idea that they are superior tend to raise children with solid self-esteem.

Many people across the nation suffer from persistent dehydration. Many of the liquids we do consume are counterproductive to hydrating our bodies. Salt, sugar, caffeine, preservatives and awful syrups make many commercial beverages second rate options. While dehydrated, our organs don't operate as efficiently, cells don't divide or operate as well, digestive processes are inefficient, our neurons don't fire or coordinate as well. It's no wonder that while in this state sleep becomes a tall orde

There is a great book on water called "You're not sick, you're thirsty" by F. Batmanghelidj, M.D. He talks about how lack of water affects sleep, causes depression, and can contribute to many different "illnesses". One of the things he mentions in the book is that if the body often is dehydrated, it uses up anitoxidants such as the amino acid tryptophan and tyrosine in order to neutralize toxic wa

A Decrease In Feelings Of Depression Bananas have a very high concentration of tryptophan. Those suffering from chronic depression statistically don't naturally create 'normal' amount of serotonin. When consumed, tryptophan is converted to serotonin. Regular consumption is sufficient to compensate for any deficiency.

A 'soulmate' is a person that resonates with your true self. Their presence in your life helps you transcend your current self. Once you both help each other reach new understandings and awareness levels you often part ways physically. You still like each other but your relationship isn't as profound as it once was. A 'life partner' is a companion that you can depend on and grow with. Life partners look like soulmates at first but develop into something more. The two of you may fall out sync bu

Yes I agree, I love your description and feel it as true. I also like Elizabeth Gilbert definition of it, in the same line : "People think a soul mate is your perfect fit, and that's what everyone wants. But a true soul mate is a mirror, the person who shows you everything that is holding you back, the person who brings you to your own attention so you can change your life. A true soul mate is

If you often wake up in the middle of the night, it's actually because you're supposed to. Humans used to do what's called "segmented sleep," which sounds exactly like what it is. We slept for four hours, woke up for one or two, then slept another four. It's a natural biological clock that we have learned to ignore. People once used that hour in between sleeps to pray, to write, to drink some tea or just relax some other way. During this time, the brain produced prolactin, which is a hormone th

"For most of evolution we slept a certain way. Waking up during the night is part of normal human physiology," says psychologist Greg Jacobs. "The idea that we must sleep in a consolidated block could be damaging, he says, if it makes people who wake up at night anxious, as this anxiety can itself prohibit sleep and is likely to seep into waking life too." Russell Foster, a professor of circadian

Dr. Chary explains, “The fine tuning of parameters in the early universe required to reproduce our present day universe suggests that our universe may simply be a region within an eternally inflating super-region. Many other regions beyond our observable universe would exist with each such region governed by a different set of physical parameters than the ones we have measured for our universe."

As it turns out, being an asshole has more to do with the people you're surrounded by than anything else. It's definitely nurture, not nature. People who came from supportive, friendly environments tended to be nicer. Those who came from colder environments, well, not so nice. The big lesson to take away here is that, if someone's a dick, chances are, the people in their lives are dicks too...

This is what the model predicts will happen: People who come from a supportive and friendly environment learn intuitively to cooperate—even with strangers where there is no potential payoff—because they have often benefited from such generous behavior. However, if they take time to deliberate, they overrule their cooperative instinct if they realize there is no possibility of future payoff. Pe

"The message of this lecture is that black holes ain't as black as they are painted. They are not the eternal prisons they were once though…things can get out of a black hole both on the outside and possibly to another universe. So if you feel you are in a black hole, don't give up – there's a way out." - Hawking

"A family friend builds movie sets, doesn't design, is one of the poor dudes that just builds. Anyways he worked on the set for the Matrix and Keanu heard about family trouble he was having and gave him a $20,000 Christmas bonus to help him out. He also was one of the only people on the set that genuinely wanted to know people's names, would say hello and mean it, and would talk to people as if they were his peers and not below him just because they were practically making nothing to build a set

Rose-Lynn Fisher wondered one day if her tears of grief looked different under her microscope than tears of joy. It was an interesting hypothesis that lead to an incredible discovery. Over time, she studied 100 different tears and found that basal tears, those are tears our bodies create to lubricate our eyes, are different from tears that happen when we chop onions, laugh hard, and cry from grief.

To help make the trends and possibilities, perfectly clear, here a simple recap. The gents who ejaculated at least 21 times every month, in their twenties, were 19 percent less likely to get diagnosed with PC over men you who ejaculated no more than 7 times a month. The men that ejaculated continued to ejaculate often in their forties were 22 percent less likely to get diagnosed with PC.
