‘Respect yourself and others will respect you.’ — Confucius You can’t possibly expect other people to love you if you don’t love yourself. It may appear as if people love you but if you harbor resentment, self-hate or any kind of negative emotion towards yourself, you’re setting yourself up for huge pitfalls in all your other relationships. I’ve heard people say that they can’t love themselves because of all their ‘imperfections’. Just the word ‘imperfect’ states that

If we don't love ourselves we show to others how we want to be treated. When we respect ourselves, our environment reflects that and often others will try to act towards us in the same way. The problem is that we tend to compare ourselves with others and they will always be people that are "better" than us in something, better looking, smarter, better at our jobs and etc. This is when you start cr

The one thing most humans have in common is the desire to be happy. Although most people seek it as either a future event or something that has passed, never to be recaptured.Happiness or fulfillment is not something we should really be striving for in some up-and-coming event — it’s something we’ve got to grab right now. We’re bogged down with the false sense of happiness through attainment — the idea that money and things can buy our bliss.Let’s take a look at some of the prime aspe

A lot of us think that happiness is dependent on external factors. :If I will get that car, I will be happy", "If I will have that good looking girl, I will be happy". Unfortunately, we are often ending up disappointed and once we get what we wanted, we get used to it and we come back to the same state of wanting more. I have seen a lot of people who have not much, just regular job and friends and

“The law of attraction is infallible, and every single person is getting what they are asking for, even though most of the time each person is not aware that they are asking for what they don’t want. There is such absolute beauty in the law, which is so responsive and giving in every single moment so that we can experience our lives. The law never changes — we must learn how to live in harmony with the law. That is the greatest task for every single human being.” ~ Rhonda Byrne (The Se

One of the key aspects of the law of attraction, is the feeling we hold when we try to manifest something in our lives. For example, if I desperately want something, like a new romantic relationship for example, that feeling has distorted frequency and it will attract some situation that has the same frequency. So I might attract someone who is imbalanced or overweight or mentally ill and etc. The

When we come up against fear, we are presented with a chance to be aware, brave and face up to it. Get to the nitty-gritty and uncover the truth about why we are so afraid or uncomfortable (i.e. the fear of heights/snakes/natural disasters/terrorism/clowns/Uncle Sam/Aunt Betty/’fill in the blank’). When we mine ourselves for the ‘why’s’ and ‘what-have-you’s’ of our own fears, we can face them and move through them.

Yes, knowledge is the best solution to fear. In certain cases where even truth and knowledge do not work, one must look inward for self confidence and abilities. In the day to day engagements, we tend to forget ourself and our strengths. Fear lowers performance, forces one to tell lies and lowers self esteem. It must be got rid of asap.

‘Co’ means mutual and, of course, ‘incident’ means an event or occurrence. Coincidence is pretty much a dead ringer for synchronicity but why do most people ‘brush’ things of as mere coincidence when, in fact, both coincidence and it’s relative – synchronicity – are profound states of universal flow? When we are young, magic surrounds us — life is the biggest trip ever! Sadly, as we become adults, we lose that awe for the mysterious and start putting things down to chance o

Deepak Chopra wrote a book that changed my life forever. I stumbled upon it very early on in my quest for spiritual truth — it’s called The Seven Spiritual Laws of Success.forces that make up the field of existence. Because our mind and body are in constant flux (as is the universe), stopping the circulation of vital energy would be tantamount to stopping the flowing of our blood. No blood flow = blood clot. His conclusion was that in order to keep this vital chi force from stagnating we

Around 40 to 50 percent of married couples divorce, there can be many reasons, but if we want to stay in one relationship for at least 20 years, it is very likely that we will become very different in that period

What is the shadow self? Children want to be loved and to feel like they belong. We do something as an innocent reaction and we are reprimanded for it (usually by an adult who has accepted the ‘terms and conditions’ of society). This rejection makes us feel like we’ve done something ‘bad’ and we may potentially lose that love we so crave. We start to fudge over this ‘problem’ within us with a mask — we disguise this aspect of ourselves so we can still receive that love and att

When we can become the observers of life’s smaller things, like an innocent fixture of chess, and transform it into a fresh perspective of life, it changes us. We start looking all over for these spiritual growth sign-posts and we usually find them in the strangest of places. Just when things start to look hopeless, you view your game from a different angle or perspective and you move to the side and allow danger to pass. What a great allegory for life!

So is the reality we live in, this world of solid matter and factual science, real or is it merely an illusion as many alternate faiths believe it to be? It feels pretty ‘real’ to us as we are taught to live by our senses — touching, tasting, smelling, hearing and seeing. After all, seeing is believing, right? Not really. Could it be that the ‘solid’ reality we navigate on a daily basis is only concrete because we give it the credence? In other words, our minds make it seem real.

Here is the pitfall of the ego — it wants to be separate from the whole, better than the rest and put itself somewhere untouchable. This is the downfall of our current society, it is a separatist theory that pits people against each other and keeps them in an ‘us against them’ mental construct.

I have been quite interested in understanding how those "a-ha" moments are created. Is it only some luck, or there is some mechanism behind it? Maybe it is just cause and effect, and based on what has been happening before, it comes to existence? It can be that they are just a result of all hard work and its outcome.

Breathing correctly boosts the brain (it has even been shown to spark brain growth — especially in the elderly), invigorates the body and helps us to find clarity (especially when we find ourselves under stress or anxiety).
